Poetry Readings at Colleges and Universities

Wendy has given readings of her poetry at colleges and universities across the United States, including University of Wisconsin, Madison, California Polytechnic State University, Claremont College, Marlboro College, Oakland University, Southwest Missouri State University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, SUNY Binghamton, University of California at Davis, University of Maryland, and University of Scranton. Besides giving readings in San Antonio, at Trinity University, Our Lady of the Lake University, St. Mary’s University (and of course at UTSA), she has also read her poems at other educational institutions in Texas, including Abiline Christian University, Amarillo College, Austin Community College, Montgomery College, Southern Methodist University, Sul Ross State University, Texas Tech University, and University of St. Thomas.

Beyond the United States, she has given readings in Bulgaria at the American Cultural Center in Sofia, The Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, University of Veliko Turnovo, and at American University of Bulgaria. In India, she has read her poems at the American Studies Research Center in Hyderabad, at the University of Hyderabad, at Kurukshetra University, and at Panjab University in Chandigarh.

Poetry Readings at Bookstores and Literary/Arts Centers

In addition to giving readings at various Barnes and Nobles in the U.S., Wendy has also read at Book Woman in Austin; Boswell’s Books in Shelburn Falls, Massachussetts; Cody’s in Berkeley; Quackenbush in Austin; and Shakespeare Books in Dallas. She has given readings at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin and The Writer’s Garret in Dallas

In San Antonio she has also read at Gemini Ink, the San Antonio Library, The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, and San Antonio Museum of Art. The Twig Book Shop has been the site of almost all her book launches.
